Juliet was a very impressive fleeced female when she first joined the Goldleaf herd. She has performed well with many lovely fleeced daughters. These have included Goldleaf Pipedream, Goldleaf Opium Dreams and Goldleaf Dreama, all now with progressive studs advancing their grey breeding programs.
Genetically she has been proven to carry the grey gene, but now it is likely she also carries the tuxedo gene as well. She will therefore breed grey or fancy cria every pregnancy and would be ideal for solid dark coloured males.
Juliet is sold with her newborn white female cria at foot. I was expecting coloured due to her sire, but with the her blue flecks in her eyes it is indicating she carries grey and tuxedo gene. She is sired by Canchones Grey Zanzibar, a reference sire used at Goldleaf for EE colour.
As an older girl she has a discounted price that isn’t reflective of her capacity to breed very good fleeced progeny. Her consistent quality progeny are not surprising as she is bred very well, and she was sired by very high density sire no longer available, Benleigh Legend.
