Duke joined after an extensive look across Australia for a black suri sire that characterised the traits required for our future commercial black herd. Blue Black. Soft handling and long staple length with maturing age. Julie Wilkinson’s offer of Duke fitted the bill but also offered world class genetics unique for our base commercial herd of black suri. He has been successful at shows with Baarrooka but most importantly he has proven his worth with the progeny retained at Goldleaf. His descendants have the same calibre of fleece attributes as their sire, exuding lustre and heavy cutting.
